About Me Originally from Louisiana, I enjoyed camping in my Boy Scouting days and eventually became an Eagle Scout. Many years later (2002), I discovered backpacking after going on an REI multisport trip to Alaska. My first backpack was to Grand Canyon, and I was hooked!

It wont' weigh 5 oz by the pack size alone. And it probably ins't very breathable. Post opinion after using it.

Frogg Toggs has a poncho now, but I don't think it is made to be set up as a shelter, not that a person can't change that.
