About Me Originally from Louisiana, I enjoyed camping in my Boy Scouting days and eventually became an Eagle Scout. Many years later (2002), I discovered backpacking after going on an REI multisport trip to Alaska. My first backpack was to Grand Canyon, and I was hooked!

Campmor says the storm tech bivy weighs a pound. I would not buy that....ever. The mummy bivy weighs a little over 6 oz. I like mine.

You don't lose the money with an HSA. That is one thing that changed for the better. It's pretax money that accumulates like a retirement account.
