About Me Originally from Louisiana, I enjoyed camping in my Boy Scouting days and eventually became an Eagle Scout. Many years later (2002), I discovered backpacking after going on an REI multisport trip to Alaska. My first backpack was to Grand Canyon, and I was hooked!

The nunatak insulation wraps around more, but I've used the RAB quantum top bag down to freezing just fine (wearing clothing and inside bivy). It's a 15 oz. piece of ultralight history....

Another thing I wonder is how the silnylon dome will do when the fabric stretches after rainfall. How loose will the fabric get and how possibly flappy in wind...
