My Locale Bohemian Alps
About Me Running in the hills north of Lincoln NE, where, in the words of Ted Koosier, the glaciers kicked the mud and rocks off of their galoshes before stomping back to Canada.
Running 3-6 miles every day. Counting down to Canada trip in 2015 and a dinner at Mo's West on the way home. Walking out to short overnights, driving out when I get the rare two days-off in a row.

re:"What to do with old wool socks?"
Wear really thin sock liners under them, like Wigwam Gobi's. This will carry you for a month or so until you learn to darn them .

re:The Hilleberg House Project
Your 1 year program reads as a well thought out adventure with back-ups in place, so to reuse your own words: "I cannot think of a good reason not to do this. GO!"

I'll take a dozen, but is there any way that you can punch a hole in them to lighten them up? Would just hate for new gear to ruin my base weight. Is a stuff sack included?
