About Me My wife and I are originally from MI. We've lived in VA now for 5 years now and really love the area. I'm been an avid backpacker for about 20 years or so. After my first week long trip carrying #60 I started down the lightweight road. I like to make some of my own gear when I can. We love to travel and hike. I've been a designer all my adult life, primarily in the automotive industry but the last 5 years in aerospace.

for solo use

World's lightest tent?
I couldn't call that a tent. Imo, it's not fully enclosed without a floor attached to the tarp. Nice tarp though. I hope it works great for you.

I've simply used a piece of tinfoil for my lid. The same lid will last for a couple trips. It weighs just a couple grams and it folds up for compact storage.
