Re: JMT Unsupported Attempt
SPOT seems to be working better. If I have this right he was at Long Mdw at 7:33am, 3dh7h23m (ish). I think it's only 6-7 miles down to HI from there? He should CRUSH Brett's time of 3d1...

Re: Reds
No update from the SPOT for a little bit, but let's assume Leor got to Reds around 6:30pm. That would put him 2 hours ahead of Aaron's splits, meaning that he lost a couple hours vs. the p...

Re: WRHR
Like the SHR, I imagine the WRHR can have many variations. I guess you could call this one "Wind River Higher Route".

Wind River High Route
Buzz Burrell & Andrew Skurka have worked out a fabulous new route, the Wind River High Route. We tried it last week, but got stopped by Bonney Pass, which really is a mountaineer's route (...

Re: verification
Some great comments here. Thanks! I've personally never understood the "take a picture of your watch" thing. It adds exactly zero information to a picture of anything else, since...

Re: verification
Pretty much any means of verification is falsifiable. With a SPOT, you could get someone else to carry it for a while, or you could shut it off, take some sort of shortcut, then turn it back on an...
