My Locale The Tetons (via Idaho)
About Me I divide my time between doing cartoon drawings at my desk in Idaho, and sleeping outside in the mountains. A few years back Don Ladagan called me up and asked me to draw instructional cartoons for his excellent book LIGHTEN UP! He was quite an inspiration, and I embraced his simple teachings. From that point on I became a weirdo zealot for a lighter backpack. In 2005 I spearheaded the very successful lightweight program at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Presently I’m working at Backpackinglight’s Wilderness Trekking School.

Thanks for the shout out for those videos. Hey - my advice, create a proper spread-sheet rather than just listing a hand full of items randomly. This will benefit you enormously. Mike C!

dri-ducks parka
I have a dri-ducks parka and its lasted me 5 years! It's due for replacing, but I've been using it all summer, still works great. That said, it's VERY fragile, but I'm careful.

Nix the foot print.
Nix the foot print. It's an un-needed gimmic. If you get a tiny hole in the bottom of your tent (highly unlikely) you can fix it with a tiny dot of tape. I have camped in all sorts of tents ...

Alas - This isn't really a "list" of your gear. It is only a few items, and most aren't really all that light. As silly as it sounds, I am gunna suggest you buy a book. LIN...
