+1 - Wet Shelter - especially when I use silnylon. I've read posts from several folks that sil won't absorb any moisture - if that's true then I must have a hyper-active imagination.

Several have used skirts as a beak. Should work fine, IMO. The main drawback I see is added setup difficulty.
