I've also heard of people using those big pretzel or animal cracker jars that are probably close to the same size as a BV 500. not bearproof but good for small critters.

Something over at Kinsman-kinsman pond, Canon could be fun? Kinsman pond shelter is really nice. those skis would be pretty good for some spots.. snowshoes are still recommended though.

i've carried pringles before. 150cal/oz or something crazy. like 1000cal for the tall cans. careful about losing the lid if you stash them in a bottle pocket. i "had" to finish off...

Whites are a big area... did you have an idea of the trails you wanted to do.. day hike.. overnight? There is still snow. snowshoes are probably recommended and microspikes possibly depending...
