I find hoods generally restrictive so don't have them on my insulated jackets. When I get to camp I put on a hooded wind breaker anyway as your down insulation does little to inhibit heat loss...

No issues with my SynMat UL 7 after 3 plus years but did have two DownMat 9 winter pads fail at the seams after minimal use. Both were replaced by Exped.

The MLD Innernet now has 'boxed ends to better use with thicker pads. You would fit fine.
