Merrell Ascend Gloves
I'm on my second pair of Trail Gloves--a great shoe for me, up to about 15 or 16 miles/day. At that point, a little more cushion would be welcome. Tried on a pair of Ascend Gloves last weeke...

Thanks.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Michael, wish I had some suggestions for you--I'm also on the Palouse and prob. should do a better job at finding hikes within the driving distance you're...

Re: Quick Question about Darn Tough Socks
Hi Delmar, I also wear a 9.5-10 US shoe, and like the fit of the medium Darn Toughs, esp. those with little or light cushion. Although I like shoes with room in the toes (I've sized up to 10...

Re: Re: roclite 295s

Re: 295s
Got mine a couple days ago. I'm undecided. I don't have the issues MB had with fit--there's more room in the toe box than I was expecting, but I see that as a benefit. Heel fits well...

Quest was the company I couldn't remember--Cascade Craftworks I hadn't heard of before. Looks like DIYGearSupply is still the only supplier with multiple color choices for VX-07, though.

Re: In the future: power your gadgets just by hiking!
The problem with these schemes is the energy isn't 'free'--even if the boots were somehow the same weight as conventional footwear, walking in them would require extra effort to generat...

Other sources for Dim. Polyant fabrics?
Are Rockywoods and DIYGearSupply the only places carrying them right now? I'm starting a new pack project--looking for VX-07 in particular (I already have some VX-21).
