Pant repair
Seam grip scares me. The last time I used that to repair a tear in a down bag, I ended up with that stuff everywhere, including myself. And it looked terrible. Maybe I learned a lesson, and it'...

Pant repair
I put a small rip in my favorite nylon hiking pants the other day. What's the best way to fix it? Iron on patch, or is there some kind of goo to put on the inside that will keep it from getting...

Most thermally efficient way to use reflective nylon in vb quilt
I bought a 1.5# sleeping bag with reflective lining from Herter's in the early 1970s. The outside (I think) was clothing grade tyvek. That thing kept me more warm in an amazing range of conditi...

Exped SynMat UL 7 Med $85
Thanks for the heads up Rod. My wife would not thank you, so I just won't tell her. I managed to stop myself at 2, but I got free shipping.

HELP!!!! PLACES TO PACK IN TO A CAMPSITE IN OKLAHOMa
There is a place south of OKC, I'll call my buddy and ask him a name. I worked in Tulsa 6 months, and didn't have much luck finding anything.

Having a Tent Imported to U.S.
Probably a waste of time to call every dealer about a product that isn't distributed in the US. And I'd take a Hilleberg anytime, if I needed that kind of tent.

Honda Ruckus
My only problem with scooters is that the Little Rascals would throw me out of the He-Man Woman Haters Club.

Marmot Atom Mens Regular 40 Degree
Nice bag. 1/2 zipper is kind of a pain, and makes it hard to use as a quilt. Seems true to rating.

ULA Catalyst
Replaced my Exos 58 with this, much more comfortable, with more weight. Got a deal on a 2008 model, and added the dual stays. A lot bigger pack than I'll use most of the time. Gained some weight o...

ULA Circuit
Switched to this for more durability, and the ability to carry more water in the desert. Works like a champ, and you couldn't ask for better customer service.

I have to ding it a little for the hip belt. I think the hip belts on the large runs small, because it didn't wrap around me enough to be effective. And that may not be fair to ding it, because al...

Golite Ultra 20
Mine kept me warm in the upper 20s, so I'm happy. I'm not completely sure it would reach 20, and keep you warm for 8 hours. But it's a great product for a great price.
