I would order the same pants again. I also have a quilt made by GooseFeet Gear with a green Pertex Quantum shell and tan 10D liner. Over 45 nights with it so far - rarely do I see a feather.

I had a Small XTherm and it came in a little under weight. The weight is within 10%. I don't think it's defective. Probably just a little bigger and/or slightly more durable than normal ...
