Suggestions for Christmas break
Pretty good snow so far in central northern New Mexico, so I don't think I'd count on that.

running
My bike shop sells a gel that you put on a HRM to insure contact. Works great. You can all buy a bike there too, and save your knees! I wish I could like running, but it's just too much like...

Dont buy this jacket ...
There is still a big degree of reverse psychology in that ad. No one practice environmental piousness like Patagonia.

Internal Frame vs Frameless Pack
ULA Circuit is a great pack, that excels at carrying a heavier load when you need to. And it saves you a couple of pounds. Not so sure you can do that with a frameless pack.

Torso fit
If it has to survive a 200 foot drop, you're probably in the wrong forum.

Living to eat, not eating to live
I think I've put the 10# that I worked so hard to lose back on in the last few days. I'll be back to getting dropped on the bike again.

Nice bag. 1/2 zipper is kind of a pain, and makes it hard to use as a quilt. Seems true to rating.

Replaced my Exos 58 with this, much more comfortable, with more weight. Got a deal on a 2008 model, and added the dual stays. A lot bigger pack than I'll use most of the time. Gained some weight o...

ULA Circuit
Switched to this for more durability, and the ability to carry more water in the desert. Works like a champ, and you couldn't ask for better customer service.

I have to ding it a little for the hip belt. I think the hip belts on the large runs small, because it didn't wrap around me enough to be effective. And that may not be fair to ding it, because al...

Mine kept me warm in the upper 20s, so I'm happy. I'm not completely sure it would reach 20, and keep you warm for 8 hours. But it's a great product for a great price.
