Unless u wanna play bear gryllis i seriously recommend bring some kind of bag if temps are anywhere from 40-50f even a superlight down/syn bag ... Or at minimum a blizzard survival bag for 30 bucks

Fleece is underated by most BPLers here ... I would venture to say that most dont do high excertion activities in cold wet weather or winter conditions many top athletes use a light fleece layer...

granite gear
i tried on a few GG packs ... one thing that absolutely stood out was the cushiness of the back ... felt like i was wearing a sofa ... some of them had no frames which makes loading 30 lbs an issue...

Montbell Extremely Light Down Jacket
the key to using this jacket is to use it under a windshell or synthetic jacket like a nanopuff by itself the shell is fairly fragile, there are no pockets, there is no waist string ... however ...
