Max Thermo I had mine down to 18 degrees, and didn't notice any cold spots. But I was using my antique George L. Herter's Canadian Goose down sleeping bag that weighs about 10 pounds. I'd try it o... |

Re: Re: GGVT They are ugly. But someone needs to buy one, and let everyone know how it is. The original UL 60 is still on sale at REI-Outlet.com. It shows the Cruise 60 is only 1 oz more than the original. I... |

Pack I'll try to find some place and try them on, although I'm a long way from a decent gear store. And a $100 bucks is a pretty serious deal to me. REI does list these for sale now on their web... |

Contacts I wore glasses, and they were ok. I wore contacts until recently because I saw better with them. And it's not like the disposable contacts take a lot of care. I just carried a small bottle of s... |

REI Cruise UL 60 Pack? Anybody seen or tested one of these yet? I've been thinking about one of the Granite Gear Nimbus models, but this seems lighter and cheaper. Thoughts? |

REI Thanks for the replies. I'd been looking at GG, but the REI price looked so good in comparison. I may wait. |

REI UL 60 pack Here's a stupid newbie question - what's wrong with these? You never hear about them, or read any reviews, yet they seem fairly light, and reasonably priced. |

Marmot Atom Mens Regular 40 Degree Nice bag. 1/2 zipper is kind of a pain, and makes it hard to use as a quilt. Seems true to rating. |

ULA Catalyst Replaced my Exos 58 with this, much more comfortable, with more weight. Got a deal on a 2008 model, and added the dual stays. A lot bigger pack than I'll use most of the time. Gained some weight o... |

ULA Circuit Switched to this for more durability, and the ability to carry more water in the desert. Works like a champ, and you couldn't ask for better customer service. |

Osprey Exos 58 I have to ding it a little for the hip belt. I think the hip belts on the large runs small, because it didn't wrap around me enough to be effective. And that may not be fair to ding it, because al... |

Golite Ultra 20 Mine kept me warm in the upper 20s, so I'm happy. I'm not completely sure it would reach 20, and keep you warm for 8 hours. But it's a great product for a great price. |
