If it's been 20 years since you've used a foam pad, you won't be happy going back to one. Get an inflatable, it's worth the extra weight. I'm thrilled with my Insulmat Max Thermo.

I had a buddy who went to Rolla, claimed they had a 1/4 barrel chug, with a hop, skip, and a puke contest on the side. And you say it's boring.........

I've done well with Duofold and Walmart. And about half of Texas is just ungodly hot and humid. The rest is just ungodly hot and dry, and cotton is king. Well..there is the Panhandle, which can...

They tested that on the Bob and Tom show a few years ago. Only had to run it for like 5 seconds, and the drinks were done.

Insul-Mat MaxThermo, full length. And I don't care what it weighs; I'm getting some good sleep. Getting old sucks.

Re: Insulmat Max-Thermo
Greatest invention since pockets on a shirt. I've used mine down to 30, with no problem. Well, I actually used it down to 18 degress one night, but it's probably different using it in Texas...

Try an REI UL 60 Cruise. And then let me know how it is, so I can decide whether or not to buy one!

It's easy. You said they were equal, but one was more money. Buy the cheaper one. We're terrible in this country about equating quality with sticker price only. And it's made a lot of c...

Nice bag. 1/2 zipper is kind of a pain, and makes it hard to use as a quilt. Seems true to rating.

Replaced my Exos 58 with this, much more comfortable, with more weight. Got a deal on a 2008 model, and added the dual stays. A lot bigger pack than I'll use most of the time. Gained some weight o...

Switched to this for more durability, and the ability to carry more water in the desert. Works like a champ, and you couldn't ask for better customer service.

I have to ding it a little for the hip belt. I think the hip belts on the large runs small, because it didn't wrap around me enough to be effective. And that may not be fair to ding it, because al...

Mine kept me warm in the upper 20s, so I'm happy. I'm not completely sure it would reach 20, and keep you warm for 8 hours. But it's a great product for a great price.
