Re: Cost
I'd say 2000-2500 over the last year. Most expensive was my purchase of a WM Versalite Super ($400) this past weekend.

Re: Bags
In case anyone is interested I went up to Mountain Crossings today and after speaking with some previous thru-hikers decided to go with a 10 degree WM Versalite Super.

Re: Little Nippers
12 fluid ounce platypus container. Weighs about .6 ounces and people mostly use them around here to carry alcohol for their stoves. You can also carry booze though. :-D

Re: Packs
I'm in for a pack plus 1 firelite tip, if the supply makes it down to me.

Re: Winter Wren
You could probably make do with that and additional layers. I'm being told temps avg below 35 till Mayish so 20ish plus insulating layers if it gets really windy or cold for tarp/tarptent usage...

Re: Bags
Going off the feedback I'm getting the Rock Wren won't be warm enough. You'll need a 20 degree or lower.

Thanks Shawn
That's what I was looking for. So something more like a WM Ultralite/Alpinlite (both 20) or maybe even the Antelope (5) if using a bag? Will I be ok with down?
