About Me Originally from Louisiana, I enjoyed camping in my Boy Scouting days and eventually became an Eagle Scout. Many years later (2002), I discovered backpacking after going on an REI multisport trip to Alaska. My first backpack was to Grand Canyon, and I was hooked!

For a shirt to wick it must be skin tight or body hugging.

The term wicking is a marketing gimmick to me.

Be aware that mice can still get to your food through these mesh sacks when only in a ziplock bag. It happened to me at Boucher about two weeks ago. I may look into a liner of tyvek and/or hanging ...

Thanks for the follow up Kevin. Glad you are better. I'd imagine many cases of suspected giardia are treated with meds and no lab test to confirm.
