That really is true about Chapmann. His F-1 cars in the 80's were underpowered and got poor fuel mileage. That kind of is me in a way. Out of shape, so I make it easier by going lighter.

I agree, I want the baffles full since I roll around. I would like to try baffles going from head to foot because I think they would fit the body much better and conform to it. Baffles going side t...

The windscreen setup is (to me) more important than the stove itself. I spent allot of time tweaking it and then many tries to get a setup that works on different terrain from grass, to rocks and d...

gossamer tent
How did the Gossamer tent "fail"? Was it a stake pulling out or did it just fall apart? I have one and other than the noisy fabric, I love it. I think it was one of the last ones sold. As...

weight difference
I notice it more when I lose weight than when I gain. If that makes sense. If my pack is getting lighter as I eat and drink, I really feel it pound for pound. If I start with, say 15 pounds, and I ...

Yeah, I have to go the other way on these guys. I ordered a jacket on clearance and they are the only ones that have it for that price. I paid for 2nd day shipping. I get an email 3 days later saying ...

gossamer murmur
I am not going to hype up the good points. The GG website does a good job of showing the features. It is light and well made. I will point out the flaws that could be better. First the compression s...
