My Locale Southwest
About Me Grew up in SoCal. from '71-'89. Backpacked when I was a Scout (3-7day trips in the Sierras, San Jacinto and other areas for several years). Raced mountain and road bikes from '87-'01 and did only a few backpacking trips in that time but more day hiking to supplement my training. Retired from racing in '00 and started focusing on hiking with my wife and really got the bug in '06 to backpack again. Now I'm learning all I can about UL backpacking. Now with a 2 kids, keeping our weight down as a family has been a fun challenge.

This is a 2008 "Original" DriClime Windshirt. It is stripped down to the bare essentials. Front zip and one chest pocket. My medium weighs 9.4oz. The lining is soft and warm. The material...

I agree with the poster above except my large weighed 8.9 oz. I found the hood not sealing well irritating and the loose fit around my waist letting heat out. I'm a medium in every other compa...

Agree with what was said above. I had it out on 10 nights and am very impressed with it. I like the size of the doors. They let you cook in the vestibule from your bag very comfortably. My UL3 has...

Wow, this came in 6.2oz under list weight. 31.8 oz instead of 38oz for the 20x72 rectangle. 2.5 inches of plush warmth. Had it down to 8F on snow and was toasty warm. I know it will hold its rating ...

This is a great bag. The lightest 20*F bag I've owned. It weighs 1lb 14.5oz. It is 1.5oz over spec., but I suspect that that 1.5oz is down and the reason why this lofts more than the 5" that ...
