About Me I've been a backpacker for 40 years. I taught hiking and cooking merit badges at Boy Scout Camp when I was 14. Ran class 5 rapids on the New River in a open canoe back when it was a wilderness experience. Lately I'm a cube dwelling software architect during the week and a mostly solo backpacker on the weekends. Look for me in the Monongahela National Forest.

Thinking about thinning the gear pile
Oh, I do have a pile of packs, they are beside the pile of shelters and under the pile of bags. It all still fits in one closet and I only have two packs on order.
