I'd say the best parts of the CT would be the southern half. The best parts are from Cachatopa Creek (La Garita Wilderness) to Durango.

I agree a drizzle can be pretty annoying. Some days on the Colorado Trail I was wearing my rainsuit most of the day for the on and off drizzle. I could see an umbrella being nice for drizzle....
