I have a Kooka Bay short r4 syn filled and NeoAir short 48x20. From what I have read the NeoAir should be r2.5. I don't think a KB without fill will give that R value. I wanted a bit more R ...

I use a Aarn Marathon Magic 33 and carry about 22 pounds. All the weight is on my hips and the balance ft to rear is also very good. It is the most comfortable pack I have tried.
