My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, even out in sub-zero temps. A few years ago, I went on a backcountry bp to Alaska, where I flew in by bush plane with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired over 90 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening.

Your carbon felt uses?
Right now I take the pot gripper from my Optimus 99 for trips where I use my Trangia fry pan lid for pancakes/bacon. It is pretty light and better than my finger tip silicone gripper which gets ho...

Your carbon felt uses?
Just discovered this stuff at the recent GGG here in Kalifornia. Ken gave me a piece that is used on the Starlyte stoves as a simmer ring. Jon from Flat Cat Gear handed me (briefly) a larger piec...

Re: A Bit Disappointed
Enlightened Equipment and Zpacks are pretty good about responding here/emails or posting on their sites if mia. Joe at Zpacks will post that he is off bping, but has someone to cover orders. Duane

Tiny screws
I noticed on this stove that it has some tiny screws in the plastic that is part of the piece that attaches to a canister. One stove had that part come off, the new owner had some issues getting i...
