My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, even out in sub-zero temps. A few years ago, I went on a backcountry bp to Alaska, where I flew in by bush plane with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired over 90 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening.

Re: 2.6 oz stove pad in action
A pie tin would be cheap but too small and like Ken mentioned, conduct heat, thus melting snow, then freezing. With this it will be large enough to hold the complete stove, fuel bottle. I did not...

zpacks vs
Yep, I'm aware of that. I visit EE and ZPacks a few times a week. Links only come back to this thread. I'll have to try mine out this Spring or at the BPL trip in Jan. Duane

Attention Enlightened Equipment Enigma quilt users!
The reg, long that Tim suggested for me, allows it to be brought up to my ears, I'm 6', 165lbs or less. I'm a little concerned about using a quilt or a regular type bag (ZPacks) for 10...

No response
Plus, I see on the previous Gear Swap postings, that seller did not respond to questions. Not a partipant in the BPL Forum. Duane
