Re: Re: Has reading "Let My People Go Surfing" changed your thoughts on Patagonia's gear and/or company?
I am totally with you Craig W. Patagonia can be expensive but many of their items that I have bought have become favorite pieces of mine. At my urging, many of my friends have also picked up a p...

Not breathable
Lack of breath ability makes this a non-starter for me. Gore-Tex barely breathes, but at least it does. This jacket would be great for those who want only an emergency rain jacket and/or dabble...

Re: Re: RE: Fit
I decided that there was a significant gap in my insulation quiver so I pounced on the Uniqlo UL Down Parka today. I don't have any hooded insulation under 11oz so this will serve nicely. I fou...

Re: First Ascent Frontpoint 2.0 jacket

Re: Re: WindPro
Personally I am not convinced about Wind Pro for sustained aerobic activity like backpacking. It seems ideal for casual and stop-and-go use but too warm even in sub freezing. The R1 with a Houdini ...

Re: Grid Fleeces, any major differences between them?
Polartec Power Dry comes in a lot of different flavors. It's a pretty large catch-all for a pretty wide product range. The best way to categorize them is by Patagonia's naming scheme, wh...

medium for me
I am 180# 5'11 and I wear a medium across the board for all Patagonia tops. The Houdini is no different. I found a large fit, but a bit flappy around the waist. Not too big of an issue with its...
