About Me Scoutmaster that doesn't like to lug around a 40 lb pack any more. I have achieved at least ultra light. Pack with TT Rainbow for 2 or a tarp and bivy for solo, BA Horsethief bag and IAC pad(I need a good nights sleep) and a modified Osprey Exos 46 pack for my big 3. I am down to base of 9lbs 10 oz, lbs with all dodads and warm clothing (Ibex and Mont-Bell). With 3 days of food and necessary water I am right at 15 lbs 15 oz. A big improvement over my old 40 lb pack.

Twin Skinned?
This doesn't look any more "two walled" than a TT Rainbow (38 inches wide versus 39 for the Lizard and <1000g). I don't see that the "fly" comes completely off. ...

JackRbetter Sierra
i like their new Sierra Sniveler, they say it was designed for a ground sleeper (since they mostly make stuff for hammockers). it has a little wider cut, and would make a better "Blanket"...

I have a TT Double Rainbow, and I leave my bivy at home when I use it. no problems yet with wind driven rain getting my or my sons down bags wet. What liner are you referring to?

Great Solo tent, Tarptent Moment
The tarptent Moment may work well for you. It is a good 3 season tent, and then for the winter you can use the cross pole to make it a free standing tent that can hold some snow. 28.5 ounces and ...
