About Me Mostly 2 to 3 day loops, with a couple weeklong trips too. Debating whether to go 2 weeks or more. Lightening up but with an eye towards toughness and hiking convenience (secure drying on the trail. quick set up, etc...), but also a bit better food (and beverage) for most overnights. Then again I might want to do a spartan "fast n'light" overnight ... and the gear closet grows.
I'll update my gear list tomorrow ...

UL at 0° F?
Over in the SUL thread, a "luxurious" SUL gear list for 30° was debated to be a 15° list if one wore the base layers to sleep I guess (that would be Cap 4 hoody/pants worn under a quil...

Vest vs parka
Unless cutting weight by ounce, I'd say sleeves and more fill would add much more warmth than the increase in weight (especially getting into winter, where most places require more insulation)....

Mideast legacy? Militarism, empire
I don't know about the worst foreign policy legacy. The last admin under GW took the attitude "... we got hit fr Afghanistan, let's bomb and invade Iraq ...". At least Obama&#...

Re: Backpack Options for Injured Shoulder: Lumbar Packs or Luxurylite Pack???

Reentry into TV land?
Some fuzzy basic cable comes with the address but may look into starting one of those Amazon Prime type deals after it gets too cold. Thanks.

Just to add, one really cannot unplug for long due to security updates for computers and mobile devices. Television? I'll bet in 20 years KimKardashian will still be on American TV swayin...
