My Locale Northern Virginia
About Me I've been a camper all my life. BK: (before kids) the wife and I would throw our bikes and a little wheeled trunk in the back of the plane and head for the boonies just about every weekend. AK: Camping was a rarity, but we took day hikes with the kids. Now the kids are on their own and we've discovered lightweight backpacking. Been doing it for three years. Base pack weight is 14lb and decreasing. Tent is now a Hennessy Hyperlight and I've replaced the Miniworks with a Sawyer.

did you see the price on that thing?
I'd like to have a diffuser, but the price differential between the xp2 and what I can get a current regulated EOS for is just too much.

Very nice!
I appreciate the completeness. Have you experimented with clear silicone caulk. It appears to be fairly heat insensitive. I have no idea what its adhesive qualities are though. Minibull Desig...

Diamonds are a guy's best friend
As a woodworker I've tried everything for chisels and planes and found that nothing puts an edge on faster than diamond stones. I have grits ranging from 100 to 1200. For my Victorinox, unles...

my two cents
I don't get the slant on the pocket tops. It seems like wasted material to me. Also, without adding any weight, I'd like to see a quick on the go stow for hiking poles like Osprey came ou...

Bill, My podiatrist recommended pretty much the same thing for me, but it didn't help. It just goes to show how many seemingly similar foot problems are different at their core. I hope we cont...
