WM bags are typically 1-3 oz overweight. As Jace notes, some (or much) of that may be humidity in the air. WM is in San Jose, CA, where 40% humidity is perceived as unusually high.

I don't think it makes much a difference. I sweat heavily with mesh or "straight" fabrics. With a sternum strap or waist belt, shifting is essentially similar too.

This is good news. Stitching was the weakest part of his shelters (any cuben shelter, really), which seam sealing remedies but is a bit of a hassle. Taping is stronger.
