About Me I've been hiking since the 70's. Spent about 20 years in the outdoor retail end of things. I now help teach an outdoor training class with the Sierra Club. I'm a docent at a nearby Nature Center and a volunteer diver at the Aquarium of the Pacific. I like making my own gear.

The quality of of sewing is good but not perfect. You can tell it was not professionaly sewn but it will work and last. The bivy does not have a side zipper.

FS Epic Bivy
Bivy started life as a Black Diamond winter Bivy. I changed the bottom to grey Silnylon and added no-see-em zippered mesh. I weighs 9.21 oz. Therefore lighter and more versatile than it started.
