trail wind
i own and use the trail wind ... IMO it is not very breathable at all ... it needs those perforated holes below the armpits to keep it breathing barely adequately there plenty of other shirts...

Fleece is so cheap from discount store and thrift shops where you can inspect it anyways Used fleece isnt worth much ;)

The reason they omit zebras and other such is that you cant walk into most retailers and buy em With BD, pretzels, p-tech, etc ... You just walk in and cha-ching!!! Even coast is sold at home...

the EXL is more or less the same, just a tad lighter and more expensive the main thing to remember about these things is that they are down SWEATERS ... think of it as such and youll be fine ...

this kind of marketing is rampant in the outdoor industry ... headlamps, WPB jackets, DWR, down/synth puffies, etc ... its all "facts" cooked up by the marketing departments to convinc...

If the down is one of those with high powered non DWR fill ... Theres a good chance it is losing its loft from humidity The old 500-600 fill caps tend to not lose loft so much as its more resist...

the key to using this jacket is to use it under a windshell or synthetic jacket like a nanopuff by itself the shell is fairly fragile, there are no pockets, there is no waist string ... however ...
