Think thin bungee....I've read from other users (haven't done it yet, myself) that doing so allows necessary "give" to prevent ripping of the bivy loop.

In theory, you should add the amount of water necessary for the milk + the amount necessary for the potatoes. However, in practice, I have had what I consider great results using much less water...

I agree w/Lori: Knorr works. Add to ramen w/foil pack of crabmeat and a touch of cayenne & garlic. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm. Delicious in almost no time.
