My Locale Oregon and Washington
About Me I started hiking about 45 years ago. My first backpack was 40 years ago. I currently try to do one backpack trip of 5 nights every month (which can be tricky in the winter) 20 to 50 miles. Mostly I stay around Mount Hood, Columbia Gorge, Mount Adams, Goat Rocks, and the Olympic Peninsula. In recent years I have shifted to lightweight - my pack weight without food and water is about 15 lb (7 kg). I make a lot of my own gear - silnylon tarp-tent, bivy, synthetic bag, simple bag style pack. My sleeping pad is a Therm-a-Rest air mattress.

Re: 80% was not realistic... Still huge variance on rated/delivered mah compared to other packs though
not to quibble over words, but to convert 5 Amp-hour of 3.7 volts to 3.7 Amp-hour of 5 volts, for example, isn't inefficiency, just basic physics. If there was no inefficiency, the capacity of...

I agree with Kat It's always bothered me when a group of people gang up on someone. Not that that's what's happening here. Justin's provocative posts call out for people to bas...

Re: bolt1 reviews--capacity rating issues/1600mah not 300mah?
If you look carefully, the claimed capacity on USB power banks I've looked at spec the capacity of the battery, not the capacity of the power bank Battery is ~3.7 volts. It has to get stepp...
