My Locale West Virginia
About Me I was a guide for many years in Yellowstone, Denali, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Moved to Eugene, Oregon, for my Master's and got a good taste of the PNW. Now I'm in West Virginia making maps for all of our wonderful national parks with the NPS Publications program at Harpers Ferry Center.

MontBell Peak Shell experience
I've been guiding in Denali NP all summer. The rain here is, of course, nothing compared to SE; however, it did rain almost every day for all of July and the first week of August this year, and...

Can't feel them
The poles are recessed about 1/8" inside the grip, which leaves space for a small, plastic plug that keeps in an extra rubber gripper and out water and dirt. They're totally comfortable, n...
