Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Posting style
I know this has totally devolved from the OP, but Eric: it's not cute or hip or edgy to appear unintelligent. You can type just as fast using real words with proper punctuation, and the point t...

Re: Re: Pack features
If you have a pocket, it's difficult to reach the water and food without removing your pack. And if you can, they'll probably fall out when you don't want them too. I prefer pack to b...

Ka-Bar BK14
I live in the Pacific Northwest and do plenty of shoulder season camping. So there's lots of wood and lots of moisture everywhere I hike in the spring and fall. In these circumstances, carrying...

Re: Re: Neoair XTherm
David, when have Thermarest's ratings ever been less than they quoted? The original Neoair was tested by BPL to average a better R value than they advertise. Given that, I'd expect the XThe...

Re: Two things
What diameter rope are you using that mice can walk up it? I'd suspect some 2.2mm dyneema arborist rope rated to around 600lbs would serve both your pack weight and your food well.

Re: butt cream
I prefer the Bodyglide over the bike shop creams because Bodyglide is packaged like deodorant so you don't have to put your hand in your crack while backpacking. Ick.
