I second the Darn Tough 1/4 Cushion Merino Wool for all-around use. Smartwool Adrenaline Crews are awesome for warm weather, or when less water-absorption is important.

Yeah, personally I'd place the 'annoyance threshold' at one bump. Things are generally so much more cordial here than elsewhere - I'm embarrassed to be caught lowering the bar......

...now there's a market niche, especially since the cuben fiber ponchos are basically see-thru anyway. Not that a similar aesthetic did much good for the old Warmlite site. :)
