About Me Began hiking in the Carolinas, some in Virginia and now in Florida - much less variation in terrain, I'm sad to say, but beautiful in its own right. A Gatewood Cape w/Serenity is my primary solo shelter nowadays.

I haven't tried it, but be prepared to sweat, and probably be cold. Since Reflectix has a mylar-type film it is nonbreathable. I doubt it's enough insulation for 0F. Hammockforums.net ...

Think thin bungee....I've read from other users (haven't done it yet, myself) that doing so allows necessary "give" to prevent ripping of the bivy loop.

In theory, you should add the amount of water necessary for the milk + the amount necessary for the potatoes. However, in practice, I have had what I consider great results using much less water...
