It looks to me as the quilt is flawed in design. The area above the foot box widens out to quickly in a big u. Don't most come out more gradually in a v. The prolite video makes it look like it...

Im calling BS on Max
Max 1 there are open cell pads. 2 an air pad is only warmer if its R factor is higher some are not. 3 synthetic insulated bags do loose warmth when wet. Note that the last you edited this was at 13...

I would not bring one and I do build fires. As stated dried wood of the right size is easy to break. Even in high use areas fire wood is pretty easy to find just walk a little farther.

Lay down in the spot before you set up the tent. You really don't want to clear the spot cause you want it to look the same when you leave. Pick out rocks sticks etc or find another spot
