My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm almost 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, have been out in sub-zero temps too. I recently went on a backcountry bp to Alaska with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired 65 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening. I cut my own firewood too.

Pocket Rocket no problems
Can't recall totally, seems first issues were with some Coleman branded canisters. May have been a MSR branded canister too. I like my older MSR stoves making noise, did not expect the MicroR...

Pocket Rocket no problems
I had a small problem with mine, but after unscrewing and reconnecting and screwing down a little more, got the stove to work. Other wise, great stove. I have the MicroRocket now, it is loud. Duane

No shelter
What's the SUL line at? I'm UL with under 8 lbs, without a bear can or filter, can't recall where SUL is as I thought I'd never approach that. Duane

Condensation, cubern vs silnylon
Thank you for the info Jennifer, good to know I won't gain any weight to speak of with my new Hexamid, which should be down at the Post Office after a slight mix up. Duane

Silicone looks good
I have those orange silicone things that you stick three fingers in. With a handleless Trangia frying pan, you still have to set the pan down quickly otherwise it gets hot. Kinda disappointed in ...
