Custom Tim Marshall infant and toddler bags
Here are some COOL items that Tim Marshall made for me. The fit is perfect, the craftsmanship is beautiful, and the weights are great (7.4 oz for the infant, 9.2 oz for the toddler). The bags are...

Re: Re: Hanging the bear bag line
Yes- good points Kevin. It is tough to get that stick tied in place with the PCT method. Your approach is easier on that end for sure. Hmm...you've got me thinking... Thanks! Doug

Yep- I'm a long bag. No issue with the Nallo. Now, using the Rab Summit Extreme? That was a different story- I had to sleep at an angle..

Best WA winter tent
Good question. Tough one too. I'd want a vestibule. I'd have to have solid snow loading and wind stability. I need a lightweight tent. Tough call. Hilleberg Nallo 2. Fantastic in...

Re: Re: RE: Turbo Bear Bag Hanging
Kevin- great video and some new techniques for me. Thank you! I've used the PCT method for years- I'm curious why you prefer the tie to the side method?

Re: Re: Best solo winter tent
A winter tarp with a bivy is a cool way to go. Something like the MSR Twin Sisters, the Golite Shangri La 1, or a Mountain Laurel Designs Duomid combined with an eVent bivy can be a really fun and...

Re: Another Aye
YES! I love the Downmat- it's my go-to winter pad. I often use a short downmat with a full length foam pad underneath. My wife has a full-length downmat that is excellent on its own.
