Grand Canyon- Double Crossing aka "Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim"- BPL Group Run Good luck to all of you. I'd like to make some snide comment, but the truth is, I'm insanely jealous that anyone has the physical ability to do this. |

Sleep pad for side sleepers This is starting to remind me of Whiteblaze, where the answer to any question is "get a hammock". Get a Synmat UL7, or POE Ether Thermo 6. |

Rappelling rope? Thanks for the help. Most of the caves we'd be going into only require a rope at the entrance. We have a dynamic rope for belay. We'll see how it all works out. |

Rappelling rope? I'll be using the rope to teach Boy Scouts how to rappel, and we're going caving in SE New Mexico later in the month. It would be nice if it could be used to top rope, but if that meant it ... |

Marmot Atom Mens Regular 40 Degree Nice bag. 1/2 zipper is kind of a pain, and makes it hard to use as a quilt. Seems true to rating. |

ULA Catalyst Replaced my Exos 58 with this, much more comfortable, with more weight. Got a deal on a 2008 model, and added the dual stays. A lot bigger pack than I'll use most of the time. Gained some weight o... |

ULA Circuit Switched to this for more durability, and the ability to carry more water in the desert. Works like a champ, and you couldn't ask for better customer service. |

Osprey Exos 58 I have to ding it a little for the hip belt. I think the hip belts on the large runs small, because it didn't wrap around me enough to be effective. And that may not be fair to ding it, because al... |

Golite Ultra 20 Mine kept me warm in the upper 20s, so I'm happy. I'm not completely sure it would reach 20, and keep you warm for 8 hours. But it's a great product for a great price. |
