Re: carbon/ kevlar socks! I have worn Nomex (Kevlar's kin) long johns and they were not smelly like polyester and were as soft as cotton. If the kevlar was made from the softer versions, it would likely be fine. |

convoluted thinking One thing I have noticed about ridgerest and the convoluted foams is that they trap snow or rain when used in snow caves bumpy side up. Inside a bivy it is immaterial. |
