in theory the moisture should collect in the bivy, freeze and you should be able to shake it out ... but that assumes that everything isnt wet and damp, typical PNW conditions, and much colder .......

keep in mind that i have the old cap4, the new cap4 may be different i believe that the T2 is a lighter fabric at the weights MEC lists anyways ... also the new T3 is supposed to have some silve...

all the time
my helium is most carried, least used jacket ... i try not to climb in the rain ;) for occasional use the helium is my choice ... for wetter constant weather where youll need to hike uphill ... ...

condensation will be a problem in any emergency bivy bag ... down jackets will get soaked ... a synth jacket will still insulate when damp ... if you do happen to use a combo of down and synth like...

Montbell Extremely Light Down Jacket
the key to using this jacket is to use it under a windshell or synthetic jacket like a nanopuff by itself the shell is fairly fragile, there are no pockets, there is no waist string ... however ...
