Can I do better than a Zpacks Solplex?
Setting my budget at about the price for the Solplex ($535), is there anything else I should be considering for a similar weight (~15oz)? A couple things about my shelter needs: - 1 person, 3 s...

Kelty Salida 2
The Kelty Salida 2 is an excellent two-person tent or one-person palace. It's listed at 3lb12 which is pretty good considering it's freestanding, double-walled with plenty of bug netting...

Re: Fleece or Synth?
Both the Atom SV and LT are standout pieces from Arcteryx but I find them hard to use during high aerobic activity like backpacking. Despite the LT's increased breathability I have never ba...

Buff
The Buff is my go-to piece for 3-season hiking. I rarely ever wear balaclavas since my fleece layer has a balaclava-style hood. In the winter I use my Talus Cold Avenger, which is a warm/humid a...

Re: Re: West comb Crest
Jakuchu, I think there are several formulations of Pertex Equilibrium. The Westcomb Crest Hoody does not have a grid pattern. It looks pretty much just like any other lightweight softshell material...

Re: Fall 2014 Arcteryx Sneak Peak
Spill the beans. I want to know more about the Gaea line. Specs, design, fill weight and MSRP! As for the Atom LT, is it still fleece-sided? One of the great things I liked so much about the LT ...
