I had been assuming Curt was bringing room temperature water to a boil. That matches up with what I would expect. Regarding JB style HX and its effect on efficiency...I hadn't really bought...

I ran 3 single lengths of 17gauge Al wire from my stove flame to a small cup of room temperature water (20grams total). Over about 10 minutes the temperature of the water increased ~7.5F or 4.2C...

Yeah, I saw 3.7oz and the same heavy handles. I think it is possible. The 1.25L pot Al pot I have is 2.5oz. I haven't seen anything about the release date...hadn't noticed it till you ...

Aluminum will be a better performer for the weight (by a factor of about 2) -- assuming you get it thick enough to not melt. Will have to try this out. thanks
