Check out the TNF Verto. Mine is a couple years old and works great. 2.7 oz for a men's large. I bike to work in mine every day. It sheds light precip well and the breathability is good.

Re: Duo Quilt and TS
Yes Theo, my wife and I do it all the time. I bring an extra pole (3 total) and set up the inside as an inverted V. 135-140 cm is about right for the pole length. It works great - even more room th...

Re: Re: similar
I got one of these to replace my UL Down Parka to save a few ounces. After about five days of use I like it a lot. It seems to be identical in warmth to the UL Parka. The only feature I miss is a h...

Re: The Range of Light: Fastpacking the John Muir Trail in Under a Week
I'm glad you pushed your limits but I'm sad you fed a bear. Being fast doesn't mean you get to ignore the rules.

zpacks Company
I had the same experience as everyone else here. Joe got me a customized piece of gear on time and was very responsive to my questions and requests. Can't do much better than that.

The Ohm is my go-to pack for trips that don't require a bear can. You can fit a Bearikade in it, but it's not very comfortable because it bulges into your back. I put a plastic frame sheet fro...
