My Locale Wollemi & Kosciusko NPs, Europe
About Me Research Scientist. Been walking all my life, mainly off-track - we don't have 'trails' here, and I always go with my wife. Summer and winter, lowland and highland, Australia and Europe. Forced into UL gear by heavy packs and increasing age. :-)

Re: 10 cents and light was you want it
Using a hacksaw blade sounds clever, but it is not. The steel right on the teeth is hard - that is for sure. But the rest of the hacksaw blade is quite soft. It has to be so it does not shatter whe...

Re: Re: What do you hike with that nobody else has?
Hi David I have a 6" Fuji one which looks very much like yours, but without the mm scale on the side. It lives on my desk, with my HP-32S. Neither are for sale! :-) Cheers!

I got a pair of the DTV boot socks in a BGT Test. I gave them hell for four months. It didn't seem to have had any effect on them. Roland B is a very helpful guy too.
