I still think esbits are safer. Flamethrower vs tiny flaming cube that can be blown out or stomped out easily.

Not warm enough for those temps, but the mil surp poncho (the woobie) is nice for temps in the 60's. Nice around the house too.

A guy I've hiked with has an actual metal coffee filter that screws onto a nalegene bottle. Works pretty well.
